Shakticola + Silk Road Partners

Shakticola (Pvt) Ltd, established in 2012 is an architectural design & construction project management company based in Southern Sri Lanka. Their portfolio includes luxury villas, hotels, and resorts.

Silk Road Human Resource Management was engaged to recruit a technical draftsman for the company. The ideal candidate needed to have an in-depth understanding of specialised design software that are unique to the company as well as be well versed in IT.  The biggest challenge of the case was that this is a niche specialisation in the industry and that there is a shortage of talent in this field who would be willing to work for a company based on the southern coast of Sri Lanka.

Our team drafted an appropriate job advertisement, reached out to suitable candidates, conducted interviews to shortlist the candidates, and sent them across to the client. The client along with Silk Road’s expertise was able to hire the ideal candidate to fill this vacancy.

Shakticola is also engaged with Silk Road’s Research & Business Planning and Company Secretarial functions for strategy, governance, and corporate administration.

Silk Road Partners Launches Sri Lanka’s First 4 Day Work Week

We are proud to announce that Silk Road Partners is Sri Lanka’s First Company to Launch a 4-Day Work Week Program

How would we continue to deliver great service to our clients whilst giving our staff a well deserved break, every week? Our staff will be working on a roster basis, with their days off either on a Monday or a Friday, ensuring that there will be no disruption in the workflow within any department of the company.

We have been investing heavily into our team’s culture, communication and collaboration skills, and facilitating them with the necessary automations to ease our transition. An emphasis was placed on prioritization, self-reflection, autonomy, and synchronization across the firm.

With technology adoption streamlining efficiency, we expect employee productivity to increase substantially, over the next couple of months. This should also translate to a reduction in the number of hours spent working overall.

The Doctor’s House + Silk Road Partners

The Doctor’s House, built in 1822 and originally an ayurvedic hospital, is situated in Matara, on the south coast of Sri Lanka. Offering great holidays since it’s 2016 launch, it’s home to one of the most famous restaurants and bars in the country.

The Directors engaged Silk Road Research to develop a bespoke financial proposal to obtain funding from a local bank. The team undertook a deep dive into the company’s financials to provide the bank with a precise, fact-based valuation. Focusing on both the financial and non-financial aspects of the business, the proposal resonated well with the bank.

Silk Road’s Company Secretarial and Outsourced Legal functions continue to assist the Doctor’s House team with governance, manage corporate administration, and provide ad hoc legal advice.
